We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to provide high-quality care and support to elderly patients. The ideal candidate should be patient, attentive, and dedicated to ensuring the well-being and comfort of seniors. GNAs work closely with nurses and healthcare teams to assist with daily living activities, monitor patients’ health, and provide essential care in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings.
Responsibilities:
- Assist elderly patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide mobility assistance, including repositioning, transferring, and helping patients walk.
- Assist with feeding and ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to elderly individuals.
- Report any changes in patient health or behavior to nurses or healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure patient well-being.
- Assist nurses with patient care and medical tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification.
- Previous experience in elder care or healthcare is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to senior care.
- Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and daily tasks.
